A Mother’s Day Retreat for Practice, Study & Connection A Transformational Rustic Retreat Experience | May 8–10, 2026
Guided by Ricky Tran, BBA, E-RYT 500, YACEP, YU-QP4, CBA Executive Performance Coach & Private Yoga Specialist 20 years of practice and over 25,000 hours of teaching experience
This retreat will be small and intimate — only 20 mats available.
Escape the noise and return to the essential.
This Mother’s Day weekend, you’re invited to a focused yoga immersion at the Springhill Retreat Center—a quiet, natural lakeside setting that supports embodied practice, contemplative stillness, and meaningful connection.
This retreat is for sincere students who want movement that is therapeutic, intelligent, and deeply effective—and study that brings real clarity to everyday life.
Gentle Yet Challenging Vinyasa Krama The movement practices will be Gentle yet Challenging Vinyasa Krama—a slower, progressive vinyasa method that builds the practice step-by-step through breath and intelligent sequencing.
Gentle doesn’t mean easy. Compared to the Ashtanga-inspired vinyasa Ricky often teaches, these sessions include fewer chaturangas, slower transitions, and more time to refine breath, alignment, and awareness—while still offering plenty of optional intermediate and advanced variations as the sequences progress.
Rooted in Traditional Lineage Vinyasa Krama comes from the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, widely known as the father of modern yoga, and was preserved through Srivatsa Ramaswami, his direct student for 33 years. Ricky studied directly with Ramaswami for approximately seven seasons, receiving instruction in this breath-centered, progressive system.
Yoga Sutra Study Alongside physical practice, we’ll study and discuss the Yoga Sutra—a foundational text that functions like a practical manual for understanding the mind.
The Yoga Sutra is not religious. Its teachings address what all humans face: distraction, stress, emotional turbulence, and the search for steadiness and meaning. Even a small amount of study can profoundly change how you approach both practice—and life.
If you have a Yoga Sutra book, bring it. If you don’t, come anyway—listening with a sincere, seeker’s mind is enough.
Breath, Quietude, and Stillness There will be sustained breathing practices, meditation, and daily opportunities to sit in quietude in a naturally serene environment overlooking the lake.
There will be movement. There will be breath. There will be silence. The aim is not performance. The aim is stillness.
Community & Nourishment To keep this immersion accessible and aligned with its rustic spirit, we adopt a communal, self-catered approach to dining.
